Effective Websites

Internet has become one of the "Go-Tos" when it comes to research, whether for professional (academic) or personal reasons.

How do webmasters/designers ensure that their products (sites) are well received and popular among 'media consumers' from all walk of life?

We have populated a starter list (key components) here:

Effective:

  • -Clear purpose of the websites
  • -Allow feedback to improve
  • -Organized
  • -Accessible website for everyone to use (public, cross-platform, free)
  • -Design (color, theme and form)
  • -Information updated regularly
  • -Originality (One of a kind; rare information)

Ineffective:

  • -Irrelevant content
  • -Vague information
  • -Too many ads/distractions
  • -Information all over the place
  • -Incomplete information/ideas
We will continue to add to this list after we spend sometime evaluating and examining different websites.

Transformation: Cranny

And we are done!
After months of hard work and revision, we have enjoyed viewing the final products of our collaborative effort! We will have more posts and photos documenting our PBL experience later next week.

In the meantime, please take a moment to carefully consider what you have seen in the presentations and complete this survey HERE.
