  1. Total time it takes = 80min
    30min driven is half of 1 hour, if she is going 70kph than, 70/2=35km done.
    120 - 35= 85km left
    80min - 30=50min left

    85km/50min=X km/60min
    Isolate X
    Xkm = 60(85/50)
    85/50=1.7
    1.7 x 60 = 102
    102km per hour needed to drive the leftover from Here to There

  2. 70 kilometers per an hour for half an hour is half of 70 or 35 she has to cover 85 km in 50 minutes meaning that the sped she needs in equal to going 85 km in 50 minutes but instead in an hour and 85 divided by 5 is how much she is going in 10 minutes which is 17 multiply that by 6 to change it to 60 minutes is 102 and since 102 divided by 60 is the same as 85 divided by fifty it is correct

  4. 1 hr 20 min
    120 km
    30 min at 70km/hr
    Half of 70 is 35
    35km have been traveled in 30 minutes
    120-35 = 85km
    1hr 20 min - 30 min = 50 min
    85 = 50x
    85/50= 1.7
    50x/50 = x
    x = 1.7
    1.7 x 60 = 102
    She needs to drive at 102km/hr

  5. That is pretty great that all students got the correct pace of 102 km per hour. Alas, it is not so cool that only 3 students answered the question. Anish, you posted on here, just not an answer? Was it a confusing question for you? Why or why not?
