I had some portions of "coding" immediately demystified when I was reading that a computer isn't even needed to take part in this event!
With computers and technology becoming more and more important (and ubiquitous) in our world, I agree that it is important to encourage confidence and familiarity. Demystifying "code" reminds me of how teachers are trying to reduce math anxieties in the classroom.
