  1. Hello.

The value of the angle CXY is 40 degrees. My process was using the angles of triangle BYP and ABC to find CXY.

Since I know that the total of the angles in an equilateral triangle is 180 (, I applied this to my process of finding the answer.

Finding the angles for the triangle BYP:
    I know that the angle PBY is 60 because 180 - 60 - 65 = 55.
    Also, I know that angle BPY is 40 because 180 - 75 - 60 = 45.
    So, 180 - 55 - 45 = 80, which means that angle BYP is 80.

Opposite angles are equal, which means angle BYP is equal to angle XYC, so angle XYC is 80.
I know that angle YCX is 60 because it is one of the angles of an equilateral triangle.
    So, 180 - 80 - 60 = 40 , which means that angle CXY is 40.

  2. Hey,
So some things I already know is....
    - All triangles are equal to 180 degrees.
-All the angles of triangles ABC and PQR are 60 degrees(60+60+60=180 degrees

    STEP 1
Based on the information above I know that angle YCX is equal to 60 degrees because it's part of triangle
    ABC.

STEP 2: In order to find the other 2 angles in Triangle CXY I can use the angles in Triangle BPY.

STEP 3: Finding the angles in Triangle BPY.
    - Angle PBY is 55 degrees
    -Angle YBP is 45 degrees
    -Angle BYP is 80 degrees(55+45=100, 180(total degrees in a triangle)-100= 80)

Angle BYB corresponds with CYX therefore CYX is 80 degrees
I already know that YCX is 60 degrees.
With this information I can figure out what is the remaining angle.
    80+60= 140
    =180-140= 40

Therefore the measure of CXY is 40 degrees.

    Bye:)

  3. Hi

I think the measure of angle CXY is 40 degrees. I got this answer by applying what I know about triangles to this question. I know that all angles of triangles are equal to 180 degrees. Also, I know that the angles of equilateral triangles are 60 degrees (in this case, triangles ABC and PQR). My first step was to find the angles of triangle BYP to help me determine the measure of angle CXY.

    Angle YBP is 55 degrees because 180 - (65+60).

    Angle BPY is 45 degrees because 180 - (75+60)

    Angle PYB is 80 degrees because 180 - (55 + 45)

These angles equal to 180, therefore it is correct,

In these calculations, I am using the given angles (65 & 75), the angle of a straight line (180) and the angle (60) of an equilateral triangle. I choose to use 60 degrees because triangles ABC and PQR are equilateral triangles.

-Since angle BYP and CYX are the same, I know that angle CYX is 80 degrees.

-I know that agle YCX is 60 degrees because it part of an equilateral triangle.

    -Using what I know so far, I can easily find angle CXY. 180 - (80+60) = 40.

    Therefore, angle CXY is 40.
