  1. $5-$3.75=$1.25
The question is basically asking how many ways you can make $1.25 with quarters, nickels and dimes.
    We can do:
    5 quarters
    4 quarters and 5 nickels
    3 quarters and 10 nickels
    2 quarters and 15 nickels
    1 quarter and 20 nickels
    25 nickels
    23 nickels and a dime
    21 nickels and 2 dimes
    19 nickels and 3 dimes
    17 nickels and 4 dimes
    15 nickels and 5 dimes
    13 nickels and 6 dimes
    11 nickels and 7 dimes
    9 nickels and 8 dimes
    7 nickels and 9 dimes
    5 nickels and 10 dimes
    3 nickels and 11 dimes
    1 nickel and 12 dimes
    (Going to post more later)

  2. To do this question first we need to found out how much change is need so $5.00-$3.75= $1.25. Next, I will find out the maximum amount of quarters and go from greatest to least (I chose quarters because it is the biggest therefore being easier). So:
    5 quarters
    4 quarters, 2 dimes and 1 nickel
    4 quarters and 5 nickels
    4 quarters, 1 dime and 3 nickels
    3 quarters and 5 dimes
    3 quarters and 10 nickels
    3 quarters, 4 dimes and 2 nickels
    3 quarters, 3 dimes and 4 nickels
    3 quarters, 2 dimes and 6 nickels
    3 quarters, 1 dimes and 8 nickels
    3 quarters and 10 nickels
    2 quarters, 7 dimes and 1 nickel
    2 quarters, 6 dimes and 3 nickels
    2 quarters, 5 dimes and 5 nickels
    2 quarters, 4 dimes and 7 nickels
    2 quarters, 3 dimes and 9 nickels

  3. Now I will try the possibilities without quarters, just dimes and nickels and I will start with as many dimes as possible like before but no quarters:
    12 dimes and 1 nickel
    11 dimes and 3 nickels
    10 dimes and 5 nickels
    9 dimes and 7 nickels
    8 dimes and 9 nickels
    7 dimes and 11 nickels
    6 dimes and 13 nickels
    5 dimes and 15 nickels
    4 dimes and 17 nickels
    3 dimes and 19 nickels
    2 dimes and 21 nickels
    1 dime and 23 nickels
    25 nickels
Those are all the possibilities, therefore to solve this question i used a pattern as every dime is 2 nickels and my friend copy paste also helped A LOT.

  5. But, "how many different ways can the cashier make change?" asks you to also state "how many". So, after showing all of your work and combinations, you were to count them. The correct answer is that the cashier can make 42 different combinations of change.

  6. 375-500 is 125 using 25 5 and 10 how many ways can you make 125 well
the amount of 25s in this is least tens more and 5s most so
    125
    is
    1 quarter 10 dimes or 20 nickels 9 dime 18 nickel/ 8 dime 16 nickle/ 7 14 / 6 12/ 5 10 /4 8/ 3 6/ 2 4 /1 2
    2 quarter 5 nickle 7 dimes (6 2/ 5 4 /4 6/ 3 8/ 2 10/ 1 12/
    3 quarter 5 dimes (4 2/3 4/2 6/1 8/)

    following the pattern of 7 5 9 we get 3 and 1
    is 25
now instead of quarter we use 2 10 and 1 5
    22
    only fives we get 25

    48 in total
