POTW #27 - What's the Point?

  1. so if one side of triangle dfe is 3 then if You double it is is the length of de which is sice and if you root three it then it is the hypotenuse so DE is 6 and CD must be four

  4. CD is 8cm and DE is 3cm. I know this because 100cm squared is the area of the whole square and 47cm squared is the quadrilateral inside so the 4 triangles on the corners are 100-47=53cm sqaured. ABH is 12cm squared, FGH is 14cm squared. 14+12=26cm and 53-26 is 27 so the remaining two triangles are 27cm squared. Although not to scale, CD should be 8cm and DE should be 2cm because 6*8/2=24 and 2*3/2=3 and 24+3=27cm sqaured.
