The answer is 5 6 30. I got my answer by using guess and check but more specifically the second and third clue. I looked for numbers that multiples into 180 and tested it to see if the second number is 5 times the third number: 1 180 2 90 3 60 4 45 5 36 6 30<-- i found out that this works because 6*5=30 Next, I found out that the first number is 5 because I used clue i and 5*6=30. Therefore, the 3 numbers in order is, 5, 6, 30.
If the second and 1st number make the third, yet the second is higher than the third the first number is a decimal. The only numbers that are five times away from each other and multiply into 180 are 30 and 6. Now i just need to figure out 30x=6, --> x=6/30 ---> x=0.2. Therefore, the numbers in order are:

Your answer is incorrect because the second number is not 5 times of the third number
DeleteI first guessed and checked:
ReplyDelete180,1
90,2
45,4
30,6 --> This is the correct one (product is 180 and the 2nd number is 5 times the third number)
In order for the first and second number's product to be the third number, the first number must be 1/5 of 1 which is 0.2
This means the number sequence is:
0.2, 30, 6
36 is the product of the three numbers

ReplyDeleteNow i just need to figure out 30x=6, --> x=6/30 ---> x=0.2. Therefore, the numbers in order are:
0.2, 30, 6
The product and final answer is 36. (0.2 x 30 x 6 =36)
DeleteWhat is the PRODUCT of the 3 numbers in the sequence?
